Samuel Curtis Architecture (SCA) is a NZIA registered architecture practice specialising in the delivery of high quality innovative projects.
SCA has developed an integrated design approach with consultants, contractors and clients that focuses on design performance and optimisation. This approach has been consistent in delivering high quality projects with often short design/construction time frames and has therefore delivered best value to the building owners and end users.
Through extensive involvement with design-build delivery of medium to large-scale commercial and residential projects, SCA has developed a reputation for delivering high quality built environments for both the public and private sectors. Regularly involved in delivery of commercial scale modular projects, SCAhas emerged as New Zealand’s leading commercial modular specialists.
Clients include the Ministry of Education, Department of Corrections, Housing NZ Corporation and several leading local developers and multi-national corporations.
SCA’s core architectural team are either registered architects or have design based qualifications. However due to the technical nature of our work the team also includes dedicated BIM (Building Information Modelling) and IT staff. We design, collaborate and document in Autodesk premium suite centred on Autodesk Revit.
SCA has developed base design principles that take specific advantage of material and construction efficiencies and exclude the use of products with poor environmental performance. This ensures natural resources are used in the most responsible manner, both in construction, and for the life cycle of the buildings, which naturally leads to healthier working environments. These principles form an inherent part of the design process and complement formal green accreditation processes such as Green-Star where applicable.
